Our Trustees work closely with the Management Committee of The Angel Starfish Educare Centre to ensure the ongoing growth and development of the institution and the optimum use of funds raised by the Charity

Meet The Trustees

Elaine Maloney

Elaine is the founder and chairperson of the Charity. She advises on all aspects of the running of the Angel Starfish Educare Centre. Elaine is a retired primary school headteacher and school inspector.

Chris Maloney

Chris is the treasurer of the Charity and is Elaine's husband. He has been involved with the charity from the start and acts as an adviser on curriculum matters. Chris is a retired primary school headteacher and Lead Inspector of schools.

Sharon Corr

Sharon has been a trustee since 2005 and she fundraises constantly for the children. She gives talks on the charity with Elaine and she visited the Educare Centre in 2008. Sharon is a hospital care worker and former teaching assistant.

Anne Newman

Anne works hard fundraising and spreading the word about the Angel Starfish Project. Anne is a retired Research and Development Technician.

Caron Mallett

Caron visited the Educare Centre several years ago and was very impressed with the work being done there. She finds the regular progress reports very encouraging. Caron helps out at a local school as an exam invigilator.

Carolyn Mary Matthews MBE

Carolyn’s background is in business management and social work for which she was awarded an MBE. Currently retired, she now works as an independent social worker.
